Markeyvius LaShun Cathey, professionally known as Key Glock, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer born on August 3, 1997. He is the cousin of late Memphis rapper Young Dolph and signed with Dolph's record label, Paper Route Empire, to release his commercial mixtape Glock Season in 2017. His debut studio album, Yellow Tape, released in 2020, peaked at number 14 on the Billboard 200 and achieved gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. His second album, Yellow Tape 2, came out in 2021 and reached number seven on the Billboard 200 chart. The album featured the multi-platinum-certified single "Ambition for Cash" and "Proud," which marked his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and was released following Dolph's death. His third studio album, Glockoma 2, arrived in 2023 and included the sleeper hit single "Let's Go," which became his second entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
