A Puerto Rican guitarist, songwriter, record producer and filmmaker, this artist has formed or played in several notable bands including The Mars Volta, At the Drive-In, Antemasque, and Bosnian Rainbows. He also served as bassist for the dub band De Facto. Known for an extensive solo career spanning over fifty individual releases, his work is frequently described as experimental, avant-garde, or progressive. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with numerous artists across diverse genres, including Damo Suzuki, John Frusciante, Hans Zimmer, Buzz Osborne, Lydia Lunch, Zach Hill, El-P, Mon Laferte and Calle 13. His multifaceted approach to music and filmmaking has established him as a versatile creative force in contemporary music.
