Mikaela Mullaney Straus, known professionally as King Princess, is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actor from Brooklyn, New York. Born on December 19, 1998, she was signed to Mark Ronson's label Zelig Records, an imprint of Columbia Records. In February 2018, King Princess released her debut single "1950" from her debut extended play Make My Bed, released later that year. The single achieved commercial success, charting in multiple territories and earning platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. Her second single, "Talia," was certified gold in Australia by the Australian Recording Industry Association. Her debut studio album Cheap Queen, released in 2019, received widespread critical acclaim. King Princess departed from Zelig Records prior to releasing her 2025 album Girl Violence through Section1. In addition to her music career, she made her acting debut in the 2025 television series Nine Perfect Strangers.
