English synth-pop act La Roux formed in 2008 by singer Elly Jackson and record producer Ben Langmaid. Their debut album La Roux arrived in 2009, earning critical acclaim, a Grammy Award, and hit singles including "In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof". Following unsuccessful collaborations and internal conflict, Langmaid departed in 2012. Jackson continued as La Roux, releasing the critically received second album Trouble in Paradise in 2014, then parting ways with Polydor Records. She independently released her third album, Supervision, in 2020.
