Lagrimas is a name with multiple associations in music and history. The term itself is Spanish for "tears." In contemporary music, Lagrimas refers to a 2020 mixtape by artist Yung Beef. The name has also been used as a song title by several notable artists across different decades. Dulce Maria released a song titled "Lágrimas" in 2013, while JD Natasha recorded a song with the same title in 2004. The song "Lágrimas" also appears in earlier musical catalogs, including a 1983 release by José José from his album Secretos and a 1995 track by Thalía from her album En Éxtasis. Beyond the music sphere, Lagrimas Untalan was a prominent historical figure from 1911 to 1997 who served as an educator and politician, notably being one of the first two female members of the Legislature of Guam.
