Symphonic metal band Leaves' Eyes was formed in Germany in 2003 by Liv Kristine, formerly of Theatre of Tragedy, and Alexander Krull from Atrocity. The group has built a significant discography over the years, releasing nine studio albums along with a live album and accompanying DVD. They have also put out several singles and EPs throughout their career. Kristine was a founding member and key part of the band's sound until her departure in 2016, when she was replaced by Elina Siirala as the new vocalist. The band continues to be based in Germany and remains active in the symphonic metal genre.
