Leila Pinheiro

Born on October 16, 1960, in Belém, Leila Pinheiro is a Brazilian Bossa Nova singer, pianist and composer. Her self-titled debut album featured guest performances from some of Brazil's most respected musicians, including Tom Jobim, João Donato, Ivan Lins, Francis Hime, and Toninho Horta. Throughout her career, she has performed alongside notable artists such as Zimbo Trio, Pat Metheny, Baden Powell and Toquinho. In 1987, Pinheiro represented Brazil at the OTI Festival with the song "Estrela do norte".
