A Canadian-American country pop artist, Lindsay Ell hails from Calgary, Alberta and was born on March 20, 1989. As a singer, songwriter, and guitarist, she creates music that blends country pop with elements of rock and blues. Her career in recording began with the release of her debut extended play, Worth the Wait, which came out in March 2017. Later that same year, she released her first full-length country album, The Project, in August 2017. This album achieved significant commercial success, debuting at number one on the Billboard Country Album Sales chart. Beyond her music career, Ell has also worked as a television personality, serving as the host of Canada's Got Talent during its revival from 2022 to 2025.
