Born on September 19, 1958, Lita Rossana Ford is a British musician who rose to prominence as the lead guitarist for the Runaways, an all-female rock band that gained popularity in the late 1970s. After leaving the group, Ford pursued a solo career in glam metal that achieved significant commercial success during the late 1980s. Her breakthrough moment came with the 1989 single "Close My Eyes Forever," a duet with Ozzy Osbourne that became her most successful song to date, reaching number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
