Formed in Aarhus, Denmark in 2013, MØL is a blackgaze band consisting of vocalist Kim Song Sternkopf, guitarists Nicolai Hansen and Sigurd Kehlet, bassist Holger Rumph-Frost, and drummer Ken Klejs. The band began their recording career in 2014 with a self-titled demo EP released on the Russian underground label Cvlminis, followed by the EP II in November 2015. After signing with Holy Roar Records, they released their debut album Jord in April 2018, with the United States release handled by Deathwish Inc. In July 2021, MØL signed with Nuclear Blast and released the single "Photophobic," subsequently releasing their second album Diorama in November of that year. Sigurd Kehlet became a full band member on January 1, 2025, following his involvement as a live guitarist since August 2019. Their third studio album, Dreamcrush, was released via Nuclear Blast on January 30, 2026, preceded by the singles "Garland," "Young," and "Crush" released in October, November, and January respectively.
