Originally formed by lead vocalist and guitarist Tony Lovato, bassist Matt Lovato, drummer Nick Gigler, and guitarist Jeremiah Rangel, Mest is an American rock band with a notable history of breakups and reunions. The band initially disbanded in 2006 after eleven years of activity, but the members temporarily reformed in California in 2008 for a "final tour." Following the reformation, Tony Lovato pursued a solo project, releasing "Not What You Expected" in 2013. In 2018, it was announced that the classic lineup of Mest would reunite to work on an album titled Masquerade, bringing the band back together for new recording efforts.
