Michael Schenker Group

Formed in London in 1979, the Michael Schenker Group is an English hard rock band led by guitarist Michael Schenker, formerly of Scorpions and UFO. The band released their second live album, Rock Will Never Die, in 1984, before entering a two-year hiatus. Schenker disbanded the group in 1986 to form the McAuley Schenker Group with vocalist Robin McAuley. Following the McAuley Schenker Group's disbandment in 1993 and Schenker's initial return to UFO, he reformed the Michael Schenker Group in 1995. The band has remained active since then, continuing to record and perform under various names, including Michael Schenker's Temple of Rock and Michael Schenker Fest. Throughout the group's history, membership has changed frequently, with Michael Schenker serving as the only constant presence in the band.
