Missing Persons

Founded in 1980 in Los Angeles, Missing Persons is an American rock band that emerged from the creative partnership of guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, vocalist Dale Bozzio, and drummer Terry Bozzio. The group later expanded to include bassist Patrick O'Hearn and keyboardist Chuck Wild. The band gained significant popularity during the early 1980s, particularly on MTV, where Dale Bozzio's distinctive vocal style and striking visual presentation became defining characteristics of their image. Several members shared a connection through their work with Frank Zappa. Dale and Terry Bozzio had met while collaborating with Zappa and married in 1979, the same year Cuccurullo contributed to the Zappa album Joe's Garage. O'Hearn had previously toured as a member of Zappa's band, while Wild brought experience from his work with various other musical groups before joining the ensemble.
