Formed in Redondo Beach, California in 2014, Modern Color is an American rock band that has continuously evolved their sound throughout their career. Initially establishing themselves as a metalcore band, they released their debut self-titled EP in 2014. After a hiatus and significant lineup changes, the band shifted toward a more experimental style influenced by the emo revival movement. This evolution led to the release of their second EP Somewhere Else and debut album Chromesthesia in 2016. Around 2017, Modern Color transitioned to grungegaze, a genre for which they would become one of the defining acts. The band's third album From The Leaves Of Your Garden arrived in 2020 and marked a turning point in their career, generating increased international recognition. Building on this momentum, they released their fourth album There Goes The Dream in 2024.
