Mourning Noise

Mourning Noise is an American horror and hardcore punk band from Lodi, New Jersey. Active during the era of the Misfits, the band was strongly influenced by that legendary group due to drummer Steve Zing's proximity to the Misfits' members and his high school connection with guitarist Doyle. The band's musical style was characterized by fast and melodic compositions. Mourning Noise maintained a relatively limited discography, releasing material primarily as 7-inch singles until the 1998 compilation album Death Trip Delivery. Drummer Steve Zing became notable for his work with the band and subsequently played for several other notable acts including Samhain, Son of Sam, The Undead, Chyna, Doomtree, and Danzig. During their time together, Samhain guitarist Damien briefly served as a member of Mourning Noise.
