Formed in Bradford in 1990, My Dying Bride is an English doom metal band that has established itself as a significant force in heavy music. Over their career, the band has released 15 studio albums, five EPs, one demo, one box set, four compilation albums, one live album, and one live CD/DVD release. Along with fellow British acts Anathema and Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride were forerunners of the death doom metal and gothic metal genres during the early 1990s. These three influential bands became known collectively as "The Peaceville Three" due to their shared association with Peaceville Records during that pivotal era in metal music history.
