Nekromantix

Founded in Copenhagen in 1989, Nekromantix is a Danish psychobilly band known for their horror and monster-themed lyrics. The group's visual identity centers around founder and frontman Kim Nekroman's distinctive "coffinbass," a custom-built double bass featuring a coffin-shaped body and a cross-shaped headstock. Nekroman has remained the sole constant member throughout the band's history. The current lineup includes guitarist Francisco Mesa and drummer Mike Mata. During their first decade, Nekromantix released five albums on various European record labels before expanding to American audiences in the early 2000s. This growth was marked by their signing to Los Angeles-based Hellcat Records, through which they have released three albums since 2002. Their eighth studio album, What Happens in Hell, Stays in Hell, was released in August 2011.
