Nervosa

About

Nervosa is an album released by the band Showbread on May 13, 2008. It was released simultaneously with its companion album Anorexia as part of a two-CD collection entitled Anorexia Nervosa. The album comes packaged with a short story of the same name and functions as a soundtrack to a read-along story book. Each track corresponds to a chapter in the accompanying narrative, with the music reacting to events within the text as the reader progresses through the story. The album represents a significant departure from Showbread's second album Age of Reptiles, which featured a more straightforward alternative rock sound. Instead, Nervosa takes a much darker, industrial rock direction.
