Janesa Jaida "Nessa" Barrett is an American singer-songwriter and social media personality born on August 6, 2002. She initially rose to prominence on TikTok, where she uploaded covers as a teenager. This early success led to a recording contract with Warner Records. Barrett released her debut single, Pain, in 2020, followed by her debut EP, Pretty Poison, in 2021, which blended alternative pop and pop-rock elements. Her debut album, Young Forever, came out in 2022. In 2023, she released the EP Hell Is a Teenage Girl, and in 2024, she unveiled her second studio album, Aftercare, which incorporated electropop and synthpop influences into her sound.
