About
Formed in Port Angeles, Washington in 1994, Ninety Pound Wuss is an American punk rock band that signed to Tooth & Nail Records in 1995. The band released three studio albums over the following five years, supported by several national tours. Their self-titled debut in 1996 established them as part of the Christian punk scene. Their second album, Where Meager Die Of Self Interest, released in 1997, marked a dramatic shift toward a darker and more dynamically complex sound. This evolution continued on their 1999 album Short Hand Operation, which featured increased use of guitar effects and synthesizers alongside some of their strongest songwriting. The tension of being a punk band associated with the Christian music industry ultimately led to their disbandment in 2000. After more than two decades of hiatus, Ninety Pound Wuss reunited in 2023 to play reunion shows and are currently practicing, playing shows, and working on new material.
