Born February 23, 1990, Olivia Jean Markel is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. She signed with Third Man Records in 2009 and served as lead vocalist and guitarist for the all-female gothic rock band the Black Belles until their disbandment in 2012. Following the band's end, Jean transitioned to a solo career and has released three studio albums. Beyond her solo work, she is an accomplished session musician who has collaborated with notable artists including Karen Elson, Wanda Jackson, and her husband Jack White.
