Based in Long Beach, New York, Oso Oso is an American rock band led by Jade Lilitri, who handles vocals and guitar. Lilitri, formerly of the band State Lines, is the only permanent member of the group. Throughout their career, Oso Oso has established themselves as a significant presence in the rock music landscape, having released four studio albums and two EPs. The band gained considerable critical recognition with their 2019 album Basking in the Glow, which was named "Best New Music" by the influential online music magazine Pitchfork. This success continued into the following decade when their 2022 release, Sore Thumb, also received the "Best New Music" distinction from Pitchfork, further cementing their reputation as an important voice in contemporary rock music.
