Oxygen Destroyer is a name derived from the fictional superweapon created by Dr. Daisuke Serizawa in the 1954 film Godzilla. Portrayed by Akihiko Hirata, Serizawa was a Japanese scientist whose invention could liquefy organic matter by removing oxygen from water. Horrified by its destructive potential during nuclear proliferation, he used it only once to kill Godzilla, sacrificing his own life to prevent replication.
