Pedro The Lion

An American indie rock band from Seattle, Washington, Pedro the Lion was formed in 1995 by David Bazan, who served as the band's main creative force. Throughout its initial existence, the project featured a rotating lineup of collaborating musicians working alongside Bazan. The band released seven full-length albums and five EPs beginning in 1997, earning recognition for its distinctive first person narrative lyrics. In 2006, Pedro the Lion was dissolved when Bazan transitioned to a solo career and began performing under his own name. After more than a decade, Bazan reformed the band and resumed performing under the Pedro the Lion moniker in late 2017.
