About
Founded in Perth, Western Australia in 2002, Pendulum is an Australian drum and bass band known for blending electronic music with hard rock across a wide range of genres. The core lineup includes Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen, and Paul "El Hornet" Harding, alongside band members Ben Mount, Peredur ap Gwynedd, and KJ Sawka. Their debut studio album, Hold Your Colour, arrived in 2005 to critical acclaim, establishing their presence in the drum and bass scene. The subsequent albums In Silico and Immersion demonstrated the band's willingness to experiment beyond their origins, incorporating industrial rock and electronic rock elements. A hiatus began in 2012 when Swire and McGrillen focused on their side project Knife Party, though the band reunited in 2015. Following their reformation, Pendulum released the remix album The Reworks in 2018, later issuing the EPs Elemental in 2021 and Anima in 2023. Most recently, they released their fourth studio album, Inertia, in 2025.
