Pestilence

Pestilence is a Dutch death metal group. The band shares its name with several other cultural references, including one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from biblical tradition and a Marvel Comics supervillain character based on that same horseman. The term pestilence has also been used in various media, appearing as an episode title in the television series Medici: Masters of Florence and as a song by the band Kreator on their album Pleasure to Kill. Historically, pestilence is another name for the Black Death, the devastating pandemic that swept through Europe in the medieval period.
