About

Formed in 1997, Primal Fear is a German power metal band created by Ralf Scheepers on vocals and Mat Sinner on bass and vocals. Scheepers, who previously performed with Gamma Ray, and Sinner, known for his work in the band Sinner, came together to establish the group following Scheepers' unsuccessful audition to replace Rob Halford as the vocalist for Judas Priest. The band emerged from this pivotal moment in both members' careers and has since become a notable presence in the power metal genre.
