Putrescence is a death metal band formed in spring 2003, featuring members from ex-Head Hits Concrete and Seven Plagues. Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the band has released multiple albums and performed internationally. Their discography includes the 2003 demo "Occult Blood and Excrement," followed by "Mangled, Hollowed Out and Vomit-Filled" in 2004 on No Escape Records. In 2005, they toured Eastern Canada and recorded a split EP with Embalming Theatre through Goryfied Productions. Their 2006 second full-length album featured thirteen tracks released on No Escape Records, with a vinyl version on One Percent Records. In 2007, the band expanded to a five-piece lineup with the addition of guitarist Dennis Mott and released "Fatal White Pustules Upon Septic Organs" through Power It Up Records. That same year, they performed at Maryland Deathfest and embarked on a European tour in October, including appearances at Bloodshed Fest in Holland and Moshfest in Poland.
