Ra

Ra was the ancient Egyptian deity of the Sun, who became one of the most important gods in Egyptian religion by the Fifth Dynasty. He ruled the sky, Earth, and underworld, and was believed to have been the first pharaoh. Ra was portrayed as a falcon and shared characteristics with the sky-god Horus. He was later merged with the god Amun as Amun-Ra. All forms of life were believed to have been created by Ra, with humans said to be formed from his tears and sweat.
