Formed in 1995, Resorte is a Mexican nu metal and rap metal band whose name means "spring" in Spanish. The group made a significant mark on the music industry by releasing their debut album República de Ciegos in 1997 through Mercury Records. This release is notable for being one of the earliest Latin nu metal records to be released on a major label, helping to establish the nu metal genre within Latin American music.
