Richard Dale Kotzen Jr. is an American rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter born on February 3, 1970. Throughout his career, he has established himself as a prolific solo artist with a back catalogue exceeding 20 album releases. Kotzen was signed to California-based Shrapnel Records during two separate periods, from 1988 to 1991 and again from 1995 to 1997. He has also been a member of several notable bands, including glam metal outfit Poison, with whom he played from 1991 to 1993. He later joined Mr. Big from 1999 to 2002, contributing his guitar work and vocals to the group. Since 2012, Kotzen has served as the frontman of The Winery Dogs, continuing to perform and create music with the band.
