Sólstafir is an Icelandic post-metal band that was formed in 1995. The group is currently signed to Century Media Records. Originally performing as a black metal band, Sólstafir underwent a significant musical transition over the course of their career. They shifted away from their black metal roots toward a post-metal-influenced style, though their music still contains slight traces of their earlier black metal sound.
