Shai Hulud

Formed in Pompano Beach, Florida in 1995, Shai Hulud is an American metalcore band that later relocated to Poughkeepsie, New York. The band takes its name from the giant sandworms featured in Frank Herbert's science fiction novel Dune. The group's core has remained consistent with two mainstay members: Matt Fox on guitar and Matt Fletcher on bass, who originally played guitar. Fox serves as the primary writer of the band's musical compositions and lyrics, while Fletcher contributes to the songwriting process as well.
