Skid Row

About

Formed in 1986 in Toms River, New Jersey, Skid Row is an American hard rock and heavy metal band that achieved major commercial success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their self-titled debut album and follow-up Slave to the Grind, which reached number one on the Billboard 200, established the band as a significant force in rock music. These albums produced several hit singles including "18 and Life" and "I Remember You," which both peaked in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, along with other charting tracks such as "Youth Gone Wild" and "Slave to the Grind." The classic lineup featured bassist Rachel Bolan, guitarists Dave Sabo and Scotti Hill, drummer Rob Affuso, and frontman Sebastian Bach. By 1996, the band had sold 20 million albums worldwide. After Bach's departure and a three-year hiatus, Skid Row reformed in 1999 with new vocalists. The band has continued to record and perform with various lineup changes over the decades, maintaining an active presence in rock music.
