Smile Empty Soul is an American rock band originally from Santa Clarita, California. The band was founded in 1998 by Sean Danielsen on vocals and guitar, Ryan Martin on bass, and Derek Gledhill on drums. Following the departure of Gledhill in 2005 and Martin in 2017, Danielsen remains as the sole founding member, serving as the band's primary songwriter, frontman, and leader.
