Originating from Santa Barbara, California, Snot is an American nu metal band that formed in 1995. The group released their only studio album, Get Some, in 1997 with founding vocalist Lynn Strait before disbanding following his death in 1998. The band experienced a significant reunion in 2008 when lead guitarist Mikey Doling, bassist John Fahnestock, drummer Jamie Miller, and rhythm guitarist Sonny Mayo reformed the lineup. A new band called Tons was created in 2009, featuring Brandon Espinosa as vocalist. Snot reformed once more in 2014, though the band entered another hiatus in 2015. Most recently, the band reunited in 2024 with Andy Knapp taking on vocal duties.
