Formed in 1978 in Fullerton, California, this American punk rock band emerged from the Orange County hardcore scene alongside Agent Orange and the Adolescents. After a mid-1980s hiatus due to personal struggles, the band reformed with an evolved sound blending country, blues, and early rock and roll influences. Their 1990 self-titled album brought mainstream success with hits like "Ball and Chain" and "Story of My Life," achieving gold certification. Dubbed "the Rolling Stones of hardcore," they have sold over three million albums worldwide and remain one of the most influential punk rock bands in history.
