American rock band Story of the Year formed in St. Louis, Missouri in 1995, initially under different names before settling on their current identity in 2002. After eight years, they achieved commercial success with their major label debut Page Avenue in 2003, featuring the hit singles "Until the Day I Die" and "Anthem of Our Dying Day." The band has released multiple albums including The Black Swan and The Constant, along with a crowd-funded fifth album Wolves in 2017. They released Tear Me to Pieces in March 2023 and subsequently toured internationally.
