Stretch Arm Strong

Also known as Stretch Armstrong, this hardcore punk band hails from Columbia, South Carolina, and serves as the flagship band for We Put Out Records. The group was primarily active from 1992 to 2005. Despite their association with Solid State Records, which led to frequent misconceptions, the band is not a Christian band. Lead singer Chris McLane has clarified in interviews that they never were and never professed to be a Christian band. Vocalist McLane has also appeared on Zao's The Lesser Lights of Heaven DVD. The band's presence in the music scene was significant enough that they were announced to perform at Furnace Fest 2020.
