About
The Ataris are an American punk rock band from Anderson, Indiana, formed in 1996. Throughout their career, they released five studio albums between 1997 and 2007, with their most successful work being So Long, Astoria in 2003, which achieved gold certification. The band's highest-charting single is a cover of Don Henley's "The Boys of Summer" from that same album. Kristopher "Kris" Roe has been the only constant member as singer, songwriter, and guitarist since the band's inception. The group has received recognition from music critics, being ranked number 37 on Consequence's list of "The 100 Best Pop Punk Bands" in 2019. Their song "In This Diary" has also been noted by music journalists as one of the standout pop-punk compositions in the genre.
