The Beths

Formed in Auckland in 2014, The Beths are a New Zealand indie rock band that met while attending the University of Auckland. The group features lead vocalist Elizabeth Stokes, guitarist Jonathan Pearce, bassist Benjamin Sinclair, and drummer Tristan Deck. Since signing to Carpark Records in 2018, the band has released four studio albums: Future Me Hates Me in 2018, Jump Rope Gazers in 2020, Expert in a Dying Field in 2022, and Straight Line Was a Lie in 2025. The Beths have expanded their reach through international touring, performing with notable acts including Death Cab for Cutie and The National. Their work has earned recognition from major music publications, receiving praise from both Rolling Stone and Pitchfork.
