Formed in 1989, The Bouncing Souls are an American punk rock band from New Brunswick, New Jersey. As they gained recognition from the national punk rock scene, they became known for reigniting a "pogo" element to New Jersey punk rock through their distinctive musical style. The band achieved this by playing fast light-hearted songs, establishing a model that was subsequently adopted by various other local bands in the region.
