About
Formed in Edinburgh in 1978, this Scottish punk rock band was created by Stevie Ross and Terry Buchan, with Wattie Buchan later replacing his brother. The group signed to Secret Records in March 1981 and released their debut EP, Army Life, along with their debut album, Punks Not Dead, that same year. Throughout the 1980s, they maintained a substantial cult following among hardcore working class punk and skinhead audiences. Originally performing as a street punk band, they evolved into a crossover thrash group following the release of their 1987 album, Death Before Dishonour. Their music has been covered by notable acts including Slayer. Despite not releasing studio material since their 2003 album, Fuck the System, the band continues to perform live. Though the group has experienced numerous lineup changes over the years, Wattie Buchan has remained as the band's singer and leader throughout their history.
