About
Founded in London in February 1977, The Psychedelic Furs are an English rock band that emerged from the British post-punk scene. The group is led by lead vocalist Richard Butler alongside his brother Tim Butler on bass guitar. The band achieved significant commercial success during their early years, gaining widespread recognition when filmmaker John Hughes featured their song "Pretty in Pink" in his 1986 film of the same name. After completing their touring schedule in 1992, The Psychedelic Furs went on hiatus before reuniting in 2000. Since their reunion, the band has maintained an active touring schedule and continues to perform live for audiences. In 2020, they marked a major milestone by releasing Made of Rain on July 31st, which served as their first studio album in nearly three decades.
