The Rocket Summer is the solo project of Bryce Avary, a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and record producer based in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas. Avary has released eight studio albums and several EPs throughout his career. His fifth studio album, Life Will Write the Words, released in 2012, achieved significant chart success, reaching No. 58 on The Billboard 200, No. 12 on Billboard's Top Modern Rock/Alternative Albums chart, and No. 12 on the Top Independent Albums chart. His fourth release, Of Men and Angels, debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Album chart upon its 2010 release. The project has earned critical recognition, with AP Magazine naming Avary one of "100 bands you need to know."
