The Sleeping Souls is the backing band for English punk and folk singer-songwriter Francis Edward Turner. The group consists of Ben Lloyd on guitar and mandolin, Tarrant Anderson on bass, Matt Nasir on piano and mandolin, and Callum Green on drums. Turner began his musical career as the vocalist of post-hardcore band Million Dead before pursuing a primarily acoustic-based solo career following the band's split in 2005. The Sleeping Souls accompany Turner both in the studio and during live performances. Turner has released ten solo albums, four rarities compilation albums, one retrospective best of album, one split album and five EPs throughout his career. His ninth studio album, FTHC, was released on 11 February 2022 and reached number 1 in the UK albums chart in the week following its release.
