Formed in San Francisco in 1993, Third Eye Blind is an American rock band led by vocalist Stephan Jenkins and drummer Brad Hargreaves. After signing to Elektra Records in 1996, the band achieved major commercial success with their 1997 self-titled debut and 1999 album Blue, both certified platinum. Hit singles including "Semi-Charmed Life," "Jumper," and "How's It Going to Be" reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. Following significant lineup changes, the band stabilized in the mid-2010s and has since released multiple studio albums and EPs, with total worldwide sales reaching approximately twelve million records.
