An American four-piece punk rock band from the Salton Sea, California, Throw Rag was formed in 1993. The band has been fronted by Sean Wheeler since its inception, known by various aliases including Captain Sean Doe, Diamond Boss, and Sun Trash. Patrick Bostrom handles lead guitar under aliases such as Dino and Dean McQueen, while Frank Cronin plays bass and goes by Franco Fontana and New Rome Emperor. Daniel Lapham, also known as Scorcho, performs on sampler. Throughout its existence, Throw Rag has been categorized across multiple genres including rockabilly, punk rock, psychobilly, and sailor rock, reflecting their eclectic musical approach. The band has blended sounds of traditional rock and roll, country, and surf music into their distinctive style.
