TR/ST is a Canadian electronic music project founded by Robert Alfons. Originally formed as a band in 2010 following Alfons's meeting with Maya Postepski of Austra, the project continued as a solo endeavor after Postepski's departure in 2012. The project has released five studio albums throughout its career: TRST in 2012, Joyland in 2014, The Destroyer (Part 1) and The Destroyer (Part 2) in 2019, and Performance in 2024. Beyond original compositions, Alfons has demonstrated versatility in music production by creating remixes for notable artists including Feist, Moby, Zhala, and Jonna Lee. TR/ST's evolution from a collaborative band to a solo electronic music project reflects Alfons's sustained artistic vision and contribution to contemporary electronic music.
