A bluegrass banjoist from North Carolina, Tray Wellington is an American musician who has gained recognition in the bluegrass music industry. In 2019, he received the International Bluegrass Music Momentum Award for instrumentalist of the year. Wellington has also achieved recognition as an emerging artist, having been named a finalist for the New Artist of the Year award for two consecutive years as of 2023.
